Ok, well it IS kinda weird that someone could call themselves polyamorous, and have a similar setup with one man and three women, and all the women have kids...and that's somehow seen as MORE socially acceptable than the exact SAME setup, but with a few imaginary marriages thrown in there??? I don't think I fully understand what the major differences are between polyamory and polygamy? I think the FLDS as a religious cult is incredibly toxic, abusive, and definitely trafficking child brides. So...is the problem because the FLDS beliefs make the women and children more likely to be FORCED or brainwashed into this kind of unusual "arrangement?" Where they are convinced that they HAVE to live like this, DESPITE their personal choice/preference, to please God? Modern polyamory is usually the individual's free choice to be involved in a "plural" relationship...and since there are no religious ties, there are no religious beliefs pressuring young women into this lifestyle..it's usually just a personal choice/preference? I'm pretty sure Enoch and Christian will NEVER be able to wrap their minds around the HUGE difference it makes...whether the women have been brainwashed into believing they MUST live this lifestyle, or whether the women have actually chosen this lifestyle of their own free will.

The lack of guilt makes all the drama written about couples betraying each other (Pinter's "Betrayal", for example) and Feydeau farces about husbands cheating on wives and hiding mistresses redundant if people are open about having extra marital affairs. Many would like the idea of polyamory, but guilt and jealousy intervene. It's not for everyone. Perhaps monogamy is the only true state and an acceptance that there is a natural expiry date for marriage.

Schools aren't great these days with all the emphasis on exams and inspections, lack of funds, etc. But I think a lot of this is about immature parents who don't have the self-discipline to support their kids through the school process, and want to "protect" them from every minor discomfort.

You all do know that sending your kids to public school for free is taking from the system. You literally have free babysitting and education for your kids while you go live your life to make more and more money.

As someone that works with children and adolescents with autism, I can completely understand them. I've been hit, punched, bitten, kicked etc. It is a hard decision for any parent to make.

I wonder how far theyll go with the kids choosing. What if one of them picks food/drink with alcohol in it? Is that okay? Will they stop them if they choose a dangerous activity, like swimming in the ocean without ever learning how to swim? What if they have lice and dont want to be treated, or have their hair combed? So many questions.
